2016 Audi TT Virtual Cockpit Is Crystal-Clear, Even In Daylight
The 2016 Audi TT virtual cockpit boasts high-definition, crystal-clear digital graphics, with 60fps Nvidia’s quad-core Tegra 3 processing technology that is reminiscent of the Tesla Model S touchscreen control panel. Audi’s virtual cockpit is on a super wide, 12.3 inch, 1440×540 pixel screen that sits right in front of the driver.
The interface is visible even in direct sunlight. Sharp 3D imagery with turn-by-turn navigation comes in handy at night on dark, winding or unfamiliar roads.
Google Earth imagery and navigation, haptic feedback, Google-like search, voice command operation and “just write” touch features come standard with the virtual cockpit.
In “classic” view, the cockpit includes the tachometer and speedometer on each side, with a mapping and infotainment in the center. Fuel, temperature and other important vehicle information run along the top and bottom of the display.

Virtual Cockpit Rolls Out To Other Audi Models
It appears Audi has no desire to slow down its role as one of the auto industries technological pioneers. Its new and revolutionary digital displays will ensure driving an Audi vehicle will continue to offer an unmatched experience. Reports from chip manufacturers providing components to the Virtual Cockpit indicate Audi will roll out the technology to its new high-class Q7 SUV Models next. There is no indication which Audi models will implement Virtual Cockpit after the Q7 SUV Models. Furthermore, there is no indication whether Virtual Cockpit will be implemented in any other Volkswagen Auto Group vehicles. Volkswagen Auto Group owns Audi among its many car brands.
