Skeeter Rader’s 1970 Root Beer Float


Skeeter RB float 1This is Skeeter Rader’s beloved “Root Beer Float”…He’s owned this car for 16 years. It’s lowered 3” , has one/off Bilstein shocks, custom exhaust, brake upgrade and the 429 cid is bored .060, milled heads, Edelbrock Hi Rise, Holley carb, MSD Dist, Coil and 8mm ignition wires. Paint is custom color with Skeeter RB float 5gold pearl highlights and custom made hubcaps are color coded. This car is just for cruisin’………and believe us, he does just that!

Skeeter is the Director of the Coachmen Car Club in Ventura California. He’s also the man responsible for the annual “National Collector Car Appreciation Skeeter RB float 2Day” event in Southern California. Every year his show draws one thousand cars from the greater Los Angeles area. He’s been a guest on our Horsepower for an Hour show several times.
